Following last years check on various solutions, current dominance of Open AI (Microsoft 49% ownership, Apple buying in), Gemini (Google) and eventually Llama (Meta) is visible.
Then, high value of prompt writing is by many people confirmed and used. Recent outages (capacity limits at daily peak periods) outline that outside of China the scale of the massive shift in user behaviour. In the coming months, capacity planning (also via AI) will be key to stay at max LLM service level (number of users, prompts, tokens) versus outages = ‘sailing at the edge’. Following the electricity consumption increase due to crypto mining the AI related increase seems similar dramatic. Does offset a good part of the carbo reduction efforts.
This note to:
- Keep a reference for future checks.
- Further review of prompt writing, likely to explode once well embedded in Microsoft, Google and Meta mainstream services (ongoing *, **).
- Basic review of developer interfaces (ongoing)
(*) Elaborate prompts to get a report about ‘who will lead LLMs in 2026?’
(**) Elaborate prompts to obtain report about ‘how to restrict fake reports via prompt writing?’
It can be expected that Prompt Writing will become mainstream for any larger text. The smart phone communication via language abbreviations (proposed or autocomplete), emojis etc. have prepared the user experience for Prompt Writing.

(Added: WWDC 2024 — June 10 | Apple, pretty much same direction as Google (duplicate). Open AI buy-in/leverage, emphasis on security, privacy via own HW and local AI processing).
